Graduation assignment

In today's digital world, it is important that organizations have a consistent and recognizable look and feel across their various websites and applications. This project focuses on developing a Design System that can ensure this consistency. The Design System will be developed using JavaScript and React, and will consist of reusable UI components, style guides and design patterns.

Objectives:

  1. Research best practices for developing Design Systems with JavaScript and React.
  2. Design and implement a set of reusable UI components that can be used in various websites and applications.
  3. Create a style guide that describes the visual guidelines, typography, color palette, and other design elements.
  4. Implement and test the Design System in different websites and applications to ensure consistency of look and feel.
  5. Evaluation of the effectiveness of the Design System through user testing and feedback collection.

Tasks:

  1. Literature review on best practices for developing Design Systems with JavaScript and React.
  2. Design and implement reusable UI components using JavaScript and React.
  3. Prepare a style guide that describes the visual guidelines and design elements.
  4. Implementing the Design System in various websites and applications.
  5. Testing the Design System to ensure consistency of look and feel.
  6. Performing user tests and collecting feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of the Design System.
  7. Document the entire process, including findings, challenges and lessons learned.

Expected results:

  1. A well-documented Design System with reusable UI components and guidelines for consistency.
  2. A style guide that describes the visual guidelines and design elements.
  3. A set of integrated websites and applications that exhibit consistency in look and feel.
  4. An evaluation report that assesses the effectiveness of the Design System.

This graduation project offers the opportunity to gain practical experience with JavaScript and React, and to contribute to the development of an important tool that can improve the consistency and professionalism of an organization's online presence. The project will be carried out in collaboration with a team of experienced developers and designers, and the student will receive guidance and support throughout the process.

And not unimportant, our offices are located in the most beautiful locations in Nijmegen and Eindhoven. In Nijmegen in the impressive building '52Nijmegen' on the Novio Tech Campus. The office is a very short walk from Nijmegen Goffert station and several buses/trains stop in front of the door. The office is also easily accessible by car and bicycle. In Eindhoven we are located in a national monument and landmark for every visitor to the city, the Lichttoren (Igluu). In the heptagonal building we have a nice place where colleagues come together. Our office is located 250 meters from Eindhoven Central Station! Do you prefer to work from home? That is of course also possible.
